Tawhai School

This year’s Flipperball team did really well. They only lost 1 game in the season round and then in the semis were just pipped at the post by one goal! They came third overall for grade C. Wynn H was the star striker, with back up from Ryan T, Neve T and Hamish T. Our midfielders did a great job with Bree L leading the charge and Zach S M  was both a great striker and good in goal. Our solid defence was ably led by Kendall L who supported Hine N and Aleisha B, our most amazing goalies. Mrs Gilmour was a great manager. First-time coach Rachel Tallon says she really enjoyed the game although felt at times her blood pressure went haywire as many games went down to wire. She’s hoping Tawhai can field a team for grade B in 2012.
