Success at Regional Cross Country

July 12 2016

Last Tuesday we took a very strong group of 10 runners to the Regional Cross Country, which was held at Waikanae Park. This was nearly
double what we took last year due to the commitment of the kids, training twice a week, and from their coach, Steve Kyle. All of the
children ran their heart out and tried their absolute best on the day. We couldn’t be more proud! A very special congratulations goes to
Quentin Howsan, for coming first in the year 5 boys. Quentin will now go through to the Nationals and represent Wellington. Well done
Quentin. Results as follows

Lukas LaFrentz 7th Place
Ashton Flitcroft 9th place
Sam Rollings 15th place
Brianna Garrety 15th place
Stella Smurthwaite 22nd place
Quentin Howsan 1st place
Justin Gray 39th place
Nik Kiri 15th place
Abigail Fisher 52nd place

But here is a link to the Athletics Wellington website where he is up on the podium with the 2nd and 3rd place boys!…/AF1QipM-XST3a7GYZbls6o-9H2BgEQ6…

Here are some marvellous photos taken by Reece Lewis of the children in action.
