Government Donation Scheme 2023

The School Board has opted-in to the Government Donation Scheme for 2023.
This means that the Board will receive $150 per student for the year and we will not be asking for donations from families for 2023 except for school camp expenses for those children who attend.

If your child is involved in after school/weekend sports teams or after-hours cultural activities (extra-curricular activities), these are optional. If you choose for your child to participate, you may be asked to cover the costs of these activities. Students’ families are still expected to supply stationery at the start of each year.

Please take a look at the attached link which provides more information about the Donations Scheme.

School Board Elections 7 September 2022 – Calling for Nominations

Tawhai School is holding its Triennial Board Elections on Wednesday the 7th of September 2022.
We have a number of Board members stepping down this year as their children have left Tawhai and it is time to have some new community members helping to govern our school.

Take a look at the video below to get further information about being on a School Board.

We are calling for nominations for new members to “Get On Board” Nominations close on the 3rd of August 2022. If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else in our community then please contact Kelly Robinson in the office.

If you would like to talk to an existing Board member about what is involved, then feel free to email Angela Whitmarsh at chairperson@tawhai.school.nz
