This morning the Ngā Manu ākonga celebrated another week of hard mahi with their usual Friday morning assembly.
Fletcher and Harper from Ruma Tahi were our wonderful and very able co-presenters for the week 7 assembly.
As Tumuaki Mrs Poole was not available, Mr McGarry was proud to present the Principal awards, and Fletcher & Harper, assisted by Mrs Finlayson presented the Student certificates. We had 3 lucky akonga drawn out of the red star box for prizes.
We also had some Chess Club awards. Mrs Boese’s Chess Club Chief Assistant, Jackson presented Terina from Ruma Tahi with a certificate for managing to checkmate opponents 5 times in 2 weeks! Jackson was presented with a certificate himself by chess club mate Liam for getting 11 checkmates in 2 weeks! Mr Syph declared Ruma toru the best class of the assembly!
