Kiā ora e te whānau
Over the last 2 evenings the Tawhai kura tamariki have been performing the Craig Hawes very popular musical, ‘Rock Bottom’, at the Hutt City Church in Lower Hutt.
Set in prehistoric times, Rock Bottom is a rib-tickling prehistoric musical with plenty of puns, & slapstick humour, that had our audience chuckling from beginning to end! The toe tapping songs were very catchy and will certainly stay in our memories for weeks to come!
This super musical was brought to life at the Church by our wonderful tamariki who did themselves, their families and their teachers proud with their near faultless performances!
A MASSIVE thank you must go to the production team of Janette Page, Anna Sissons and Julia Dorgan who put in countless hours of hard mahi, missing lunches and soldiering on solidly through many weekends to make this production happen despite the uncertainty of whether the production would go ahead!
A HUGE thank you to 2 very exceptional and talented ladies, Shannon Maich and Nicole Stewart. Shannon, for her amazing creativity and enthusiasm with costumes, props, and accessories.
Nicole, Dance Teacher extraordinaire and wonderful Tawhai Kura supporter.
A HUGE paki, paki to our performers who worked so hard during this time and are such a credit to your whanau and kura!
