TAWHAI SCHOOL CHRISTMAS FLOAT 2022
Kia ora e te whānau
Just a reminder that the Stokes Valley Christmas Parade is being held tomorrow Saturday 3rd December at 12pm. The theme for the Tawhai School float is “Have a Dino-mite Christmas!” to (finally) have a Christmas celebration of our wonderful 2021 school production ‘Rock Bottom!’
A big thank you to Miss Sissons and Mrs Dorgan for organising this.
This year we have decided to decorate a small truck but will not be having people ‘on board.’ Instead, if students are interested in taking part, they can walk along behind the float with some of the teachers. We would ask that any children in years 0-3 are accompanied by a parent / adult.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
For Health and Safety Regulations:
If you wish for your child to accompany the Tawhai School float, please EMAIL your child’s name to anna@tawhai.school.nz
DETAILS FOR THE DAY:
Where to Go:
Meet at 11:30am opposite the top shops in Stokes Valley. Students’ names will be checked off the list at this point. The parade leaves at 12pm and takes about 30 minutes, finishing at Scott Court.
Children must be collected and have their names checked off here too.
WHAT TO WEAR:
If children were involved in the production and still have their costumes, they can wear them, if not they will be given a production t-shirt or a Tawhai top when they arrive (so a suitable top to wear underneath that would be great). There will also be some props and accessories handed out on the day. We will be wearing our Tawhai School hats – children will need to take these home on Friday (and bring them back to school on Monday).
