The Last Nga Manu Assembly & Au Revoir to Mr McGarry

December 11 2019

The very last Nga Manu Assembly of the year was held today just after morning tea. Our wonderful co-presenters this week were Elijah and Lachie.
Mrs Poole presented the Principal awards while Elijah did the honours with the Student awards.
Mrs Gilmour was pleased to announce to the Nga Manu Students how well the Touch teams had performed this season. Both the Rockets and the Leopards had come a creditable 3rd, the Rockets after playing extra time with just 3 players aside! The Terminators (who are a Year 5 team) came an amazing second to the Koraunui team who were Year 6 Students. The Dynamos & the Tuis both won their grades and were presented with trophies. Congratulations to all the teams!
During the assembly we said au revoir & not goodbye to Mr McGarry as he sets off overseas for a working holiday but will be returning to us! He was presented with beautiful cards and wonderful poetry by all the Nga Manu classes and the Pumpkin Patch!
The Nga Tama Boys paid their tribute to Mr McGarry with a heartfelt Haka!
We look forward to hearing about all your adventures, keep us posted Mr McGarry!
