Miss Duffy and Mrs van de Walt’s class had a wonderful day together yesterday celebrating Matariki. Our star that we were focusing on is Waiatī. “Wai” is the Māori word for water and Waiatī is connected to fresh water and all the creature that live in rivers, streams and lakes. The students created animals that live in fresh water. They made these out of recycled materials. The students worked really well together and made some great creations.Thank you to the whānau who came in to have a look.
