Room 7 have been working hard on our P.E Skipping Unit. This term we were introduced to the holistic health model of “Whare Tapa Wha”. We now talk about the “Four Walls (dimensions) of our House” that together make us happy, healthy people.Skipping has been great for the development of motor skills and fitness, so our body – Taha Tinana, is strengthened. Our mental and emotional growth – Taha Hinengaro, is promoted through such amazing personal resilience to “keep trying” and by providing encouragement to others.Over this time we developed our skills with individual ropes, hoops,”Skip Its” and on the hopstotch. On the long rope we skipped to rhymes with increasingly levels of difficulty. Room 7, you are amazing! You all know how wonderfully you progressed!Here are some quick captures taken during a couple of very beautiful Autumn mornings!
