As part of our inquiry this term a group of Nga Manu students have been brainstorming ways to support the animals at HUHA.
HUHA (Helping YoU Help Animals) is an organisation that helps abandoned, lost or injured animals and their vet clinic is right here in Stokes Valley!
We are looking for donations of pet / animal equipment that is no longer in use – bedding, food, toys, bowls, treats, newspaper, old blankets etc. Our plan is to collect these items and donate them to the animals at HUHA who are waiting to find homes.
We are also planning to make some toys for the animals ourselves and we are looking for donations of the following materials / resources – carpet, wool, old t-shirts / material / socks, plastic bottles, pillow stuffing, old tennis balls, string, corks, cardboard, milk bottle tops and rope.
If you have any of these items spare, please bring them to Room 1 at Tawhai School.
Thank you!
From the Tawhai School Student HUHA Team.
