Yummmmm… PANCAKES!

Posted on by Rosa Stewart

Last week we finished filling our marble jar. We get to put a marble in the jar when we are spotted showing our Tawhai Values. We all had to work together to get the marbles in the jar as quickly as we could. Earlier this term, we decided that our reward for filling the jar would be something that involved cooking/baking. We settled on PANCAKES! Miss Perry also thought that hot chocolate was a good idea since we are in Winter.

Throughout the day we did a number of pancake themed activities and made a book to bring home and share. We did lots of learning about to keep safe around a hot pan, and what to do if our food is too hot. It was so funny when the bottle slipped and some of us ended up with HUGE pancakes, while others enjoyed lots of little ones. Everyone also earned their Pancake Flip award for learning to flip a pancake.

We are challenging ourselves and trying to fill our marble jar again in time for the last day of Term 2! We know we can do it because we are awesome at showing our values!
