On Wednesday 5th August, our Yr 6 students had the opportunity to visit Avalon Intermediate for a look around and to take part in a number of different activities. We were welcomed by Mrs Te Whetu, the principal and their student rangatira. Then the students were split into groups to do either P.E., Science, Woodwork or Food technology. The students had a great time learning new skills and creating some yummy treats and wooden toys to take home. All of our students enjoyed their day and 2 even came away with extra prizes for showing great Tawhai Values. It was also lovely to catch up with some of our ex-Tawhai students and to see how well they are doing at Avalon. A big thank you to Miss Page and Mrs Johnston for capturing what the students did on camera!
