Enviro Groups on an Outing Together 2018

The Enviro groups from Tawhai, Tui Glen and Koraunui schools had a wonderful day together, not only getting to know each other but celebrating Matariki by looking at what Papatuanuku (the land) does for us. It started off at the Horoeka Street Reserve where the groups were welcomed by Michelle who is the Enviro coordinator for Tui Glen & Tawhai School, Arihira the Koraunui School coordinator, and Travis who is from the Regional Council and is responsible for our rivers. We were also very fortunate to have Dennis come along with 2 of his geckos, and with a wealth of knowledge about them that the children loved listening to as they patted the two gorgeous creatures.
