Earthfeast – A Festival of Science

EarthFest 2023 is being held in association with the Geoscience Society of New Zealand (GSNZ) Annual Conference.

In association with the Geoscience Conference 2023 they  are holding EarthFest – A Festival of Earth Science. EarthFest will be a chance for members of the public, especially tamariki and their families, to get up close and personal with the earth sciences and meet people working in its many different fields. Part science festival, part careers expo, there’s sure to be something for everyone!

This will be taking place at the Walter Nash Stadium on Saturday 11th November 9.00am -3.00pm and it’s FREE!

The festival will feature a range of interactive exhibits through which people can explore the processes that drive our Earth, the technologies we use to study them, and the many different careers and skills that contribute to this important work. From rocks, minerals and fossils through to natural hazards and emergency management, EarthFest 2023 will showcase the Earth as we know it through interactive displays, virtual and augmented reality experiences, games, tabletop experiments, and more!
