The whole of Tawhai Kura came together under the whakaruruhau this morning to have our final assembly of the year.
Tu Rangatira, Alisi and Alexa were our very able co-presenters for this very special assembly.
After the National Anthem was sung, Tumuaki Mrs Poole warmly welcomed everyone to this last assembly of the year.
She acknowledged our Year 6 Students who have already had their prize giving at the leavers’ dinner a couple of evenings ago and that it was now the turn of some of our gorgeous Year 4 & 5 Students to receive awards for this morning’s assembly.
Mrs Boese was on hand to present the Year 4 & 5 values certificates, the maths and literacy certificates, and the Year 4 & 5 top Year Student trophy.
Many congratulations to our very worthy recipients! It was lovely to be able to capture some whānau photos after the assembly! Apologies that it was a bit glarey. The sun was certainly shining upon us today!
To end the assembly, the Year 6 students entertained everyone with a dance they had performed at the leavers’ dinner.
