Interzone Athletics

23rd November 2023

Kia ora e te whānau,

Tuesday 21st November was the big day for our 25 ākonga as they represented not only their kura but the Northern/Central Zone in the Interzone Athletics at Hutt Rec! They were fortunate in the weather being nice and mild as they took part in their chosen event.

All the tamariki put in a 110 Percent and it goes without say that they did themselves, their whānau, and their kaura proud. As always they showed the Tawhai values and supported each other.

Well done to all!

A BIG thank you to Mr McGarry for organising the tamariki.

A HUGE thank you to all the whānau who either transported the children to and from the event and to those who looked after and supported them during the day. It is very much appreciated.

Below are photos of some of the tamariki who attended ( thanks to Nicole Brown and Steph Chad for taking the shots!) As tamariki were coming and going it wasn’t possible to get a whole group shot!

An album will be going out in due course with photos from Nicole and Steph. If anyone would like to share their captures during events, they can be added to the album. Please either email Rosa: rosa@tawhai.school.nz or they can be sent through to her on messsenger.
